otice of Water Rate Increase
Effective May 1, 2019

On April 11, 2019, after conducting a public hearing, the Board of Directors of Bear Valley Community Services District adopted a five-year schedule of rates in compliance with applicable provisions of state law. The new rates were formulated to achieve the following goals:

• Minimum working capital balance
• Debt service coverage
• Adequately fund ongoing operations
• Fund capital improvements

The 2019 rates will become effective on May 1, 2019 and will be reflected on your June water bills.

The District is committed to managing costs and maintaining efficient operations while upholding its commitment to a sustainable future. These rates are necessary because property taxes do not fund water, sewer or solid waste services, therefore costs must be recovered through residents’ monthly fees. The rate increases will also support the Board’s commitment to maintaining and replacing aging infrastructure and facilities, which will mean fewer interruptions in service.

Potable Water Rates Per Hundred Cubic Feet (HCF)
